A comprehensive checklist of all up to date registered ascomycetes from Macedonia was established for the first time. The aim of this study was to summarize all data on ascomycetes and contribute to the knowledge of the presence of these fungi in the country. Information for this checklist are based on data from field mycological research trips, sp...

Project
The main objectives of the proposed project are to clarify the species limits of selected boletoid taxa, and to evaluate morphological and and ecological characters traditionally used for species delimitation with molecular phylogenetics. A comparison of samples from different habitats and different geographic origins (Macedonia, Austria as well as type localities) will probably reveal possible new or cryptic species. In cooperation with the Mycological Laboratory, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Macedonia.
