Introduction
I am a learning scientist and human-computer interaction researcher focusing on enabling students to overcome obstacles to effective participation in their learning process. My research interests include applying an education research lens to human-computer interaction methods in technologically enhanced learning environments. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Williams College.

This poster describes a controlled study that examines how individual motivation orientations affect computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) activities with an adaptive themodynamics dialogue tutor.
