Introduction
Dr Innocent Ewean Agbongiague Davidson is a Full Professor and Chair, Department of Electrical Power Engineering, Durban University of Technology; Research Leader, Centre of Excellence in Smart Grids. He previously served as the Director of Research, Eskom Centre of Excellence in High Voltage Direct Current Engineering at University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa and Coordinator, Eskom Power Plant Engineering Institute (EPPEI), HVDC Specialisation Centre (SC).
