Project
To describe the major trends characterizing the developments in fertility rates in Dagestan and Chechnya. While there is an upward trend in fertility, population distribution is uneven across the Republics, and ethnic heterogeneity often leaves the social scientists completely bewildered.

Our results are used to help develop evidence based conservation measures and to advise policy makers and other stakeholders on how to protect this endangered species and its habitat.
