本研究以「同志家族企業」為例,來理解親密關係跟經濟活動 兩者之間如何互相連結。「家」經常被視為親密關係運作(愛最大) 的重要場域,而企業則是展現資本主義(自利)邏輯的組織,這兩 個非常不同的運作邏輯,如何共存在家族企業這個場域?本研究 從Zelizer的「做關係」(relational work)概念出發,透過訪談經營 事業的15對同志,來理解人們如何整合這兩個不同邏輯的世界, 讓經濟行動跟親密關係兩者可以適配地運行。 本研究發現:一、對於同志伴侶/配偶而言,創業活動是一 個重要的關係交換媒介,用來確認、鞏固、發展親密關係,也成 為解決親密關係困境的手段之一;二、透過「結清關係」的過程, 我們可以更清楚看到:親密關係與不同的經濟手段、媒介,是高 度相互連結在一起,而不是經濟行動鑲嵌在社會/親...

過去討論原住民族傳統農耕會注意到永續發展,少討論傳統農耕實作與社會文化的關係;社會科學強調社會組織與文化可以對付災害,但沒看到自然農耕過程中已經在極小化災害風險。本研究補足此落差,探討魯凱族「最小化風險」生態農業實作,如何鑲嵌在兩個重要的文化原則中:透過頭目貴族進行的資源重分配,以及族人之間的分享互惠。 透過訪談與實際參與霧台鄉的農作過程,我們發現:自然農耕與狩獵的原則可以災害預防,避免不當的農作方式而造成糧食短缺危機;重分配與分享互惠,保障了部落最底層人得以生存,也讓自然災害的發生機率降到最低。

本文探討男男情慾按摩中的兩個面向:男師如何透過身體工作,滿足客人 的需求,在此過程中,親密關係如何被感知與「體現」。透過深度訪談 34 位男同志按摩師的勞動經驗,本文發現:在身體工作的面向,男師會透過按摩技藝,營造與邊緣身體的性親密關係,也劃出與消費者之間的界線;在跨進親密關係的面向,則因勞動過程中與客人身體親密 「感觸」所產生的情感連結,讓男男按摩成為具體的關愛實作。透過分析身體工作與親密關係的勞動過程,讓我們看到男男按摩中所涉及的身體╱情感互動,體現男同志性消費文化中的親密「劃界」與「跨界」。

本文採建制民族誌的研究取向,探討有哪些結構性因素,使得一群婚移台灣的越南女性,在面臨家庭暴力時難以脫離困境?台灣雖然已經有「家庭暴力防治法」,相關人員依法必須協助她們走出暴力,然而我們檢視「法律運作」的過程,訪談越南婦女和台灣丈夫,佐以相關人士的說法和文本資料,卻發現從最初不知該如何求助,到進入求助體系,最後縱使取得家暴保護令,受暴婦女在每一個階段中,都面臨了結構困境。從結構交織的觀點出發,我們認為在性別、國族與階級的交織作用下,父權國家在法律運作以及福利服務輸送的過程當中,所形成的制度性暴力,是越南婚移婦女無法順利走出家暴困境的關鍵。

本研究探討面對跨國婚姻衝突的新移民女性在台灣的社會結構下,如何在不同的婚姻階段與父權家庭結構討價還價,在有限的選擇中,找到自己生命的出路。透過訪談十六位越南籍女性配偶與三位男性配偶,我們發現,台越兩國性別文化的差異,表現在跨國婚姻夫妻對彼此性別角色期待的落差,導致家庭內部與夫妻的衝突。受暴的新移民越南女性積極爭取外出工作,結果雖然讓新移民女性漸獲充權,卻可能導致致夫妻雙方的衝突更為升高、暴力加劇,甚至婚姻的破裂。我們發現,對於這群女性來說,外出工作並不只是經濟理由,她們透過就業的機會,逐步地增進個人資源,並改變與夫家互動方式與權力關係。研究同時發現,兩個台灣特殊的社會結構因素:家庭暴力防治法與中小企業為主的市場結構,有利於這群女性外出工作,最後成為能走出婚姻暴力的主要力量。

跨國企業對外投資的影響,除了經濟面外,較少探討的是對於在地族 群關係的重塑。本研究根據越南台商工廠內的多族群(台、陸、越、華) 分工現象,探討形塑各族群在工廠中職階分佈的因素,以及這種分佈下, 族群與職位流動的狀況。過去文獻上討論的「同質社會再生產」 、 「由下而 上的族群適配」說法,雖然可以讓我們理解族群在企業組織的上階層或下 階層的分佈與流動,但卻有其侷限性,特別是在解釋企業的中階職位流動 與族群之間的關係。本研究發現,除了此兩個觀察角度外,人力資本論也 是形塑這樣分佈與流動的主因之一。在台商工廠內部的族群升遷流動,會 隨著此三種因素的綜合考量與時間的變動而變化。

本研究以越南─臺灣之間的跨國勞工移動過程為例,來探討制度設計如何影響國際的勞工移動過程、移動的費用,以及哪些人從此中獲利。我們認為,兩國的仲介利益團體試圖去影響各自政府的政策與制度設計,加上臺灣與外國政府之間外交關係,形成了臺灣的客工計畫與禁止雇主轉換的規定,這些因素綜合起來,形成目前移工的兩個困境:高額仲介費用以及惡劣的勞動條件。移工在臺灣的工作所得都因為此制度的設計,而被臺灣、越南雙方的其他人士拿走。
