Most earlier investigations of hydroids in the Galápagos have focused on species from natural habitats. This study will be based primarily on hydroids found as part of fouling communities, particularly those in ports and harbours. Specimens being examined here were obtained during surveys for invasive species in the archipelago during 2015 and 2016.
