Introduction
M.Sc. Hendrik Wache studied Business Intelligence & Analytics at the Chemnitz University of Technology. Since 2017, he has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Information Systems I, where he focuses on the management of big data and the identification of data analytics opportunities in SME networks. Within the Co-TWIN project, he is researching the new affordances resulting from digital twins in mechanical and plant engineering in the context of Industry 4.0.

The research project "Co-TWIN" builds on the idea of digital twins and extends it to a holistic approach that supports the collaboration within and between businesses as well as throughout the entire life cycle of production machines. To that end, an existing or planned machine is represented on various, interconnected examination levels - so-called perspectives - and visualized by augmented reality.

Ziel des Projekts PROFUND ist es, eine geeignete Struktur zur Entwicklung individualisierter Technischer Textilien in einem Unternehmensnetzwerk zu schaffen. Diese Netzwerkstruktur soll es kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen ermöglichen, ihre Ressourcen in Netzwerken für Mass Customization entlang der textilen Kette bestmöglich zu nutzen. Durch die unternehmensübergreifende Organisation der Produktentwicklungsphase kann die Wertschöpfungsgestaltung völlig neuartig organisiert werden und beeinflusst so maßgeblich das Geschäftsmodell. Indem Informationen zu Kundenanforderungen, Vorprodukten und Fertigungsprozessen als Entwicklungsdaten und mit Hilfe von Konfigurationstools prozessorientiert ausgetauscht und verarbeitet werden, können Entwicklungsaufträge schneller und kostengünstiger bearbeitet werden. Zudem sind Kundenanforderungen aus dem B2B-Bereich sehr unterschiedlich und gerade die Frage, wie diese Anforderungen im Individualisierungsprozess möglichst effektiv und effizient aufgenommen werden können, ist in Forschung und Praxis noch immer unbeantwortet. Geeignete Konfigurationstools zur Unterstützung des Individualisierungsprozesses werden somit prototypisch konzipiert und umgesetzt. Darüber hinaus unterstützen Big-Data- und Analytics-Methoden das Kundendatenmanagement, das vor allem bei langfristigen Partnerschaften im Industriesektor vielversprechend ist. Das vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) geförderte Projekt ist Teil der Zwanzig20-Initiative futureTEX und wird von der Pfand Textilausrüstung GmbH koordiniert. Weitere Industriepartner sind die VOWALON Beschichtung GmbH, Paul Uebel Wirk- und Strickwaren GmbH und Buntgardine Rotschau GmbH. Als wissenschaftliche Partner sich die HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, die Professur Wirtschaftsinformatik – Geschäftsprozess- und Informationsmanagement der TU Chemnitz, der Lehrstuhl für Technologie- und Innovationsmanagement der RWTH Aachen sowie das Sächsische Textilforschungsinstitut e.V. beteiligt.
