This project aims to locate and analyze some aspects of the narratives of two travel itineraries, one by a merchant, Marco Polo [1271], and another by an Ambassador, Rui González de Clavijo [1403] in a period between the 13th Centuries and XV. In both travel relationships, although with different purposes, the description of the image iconography plays a prominent role, as well as the detailed description of the new vivid experiences by the second traveler, also using the experiences lived by the first traveler. The project aims to locate the true location of some not yet well-defined localities of both trips along the itinerary that saw them pass through the territory of Kurdistan in the late Middle Ages.
