Introduction
Our working group studied the evolution and relationships between plant taxa world wide. Boraginaceae servesdas the model group. To establish these relationships, we implemented not only the classical and indispensible methodologies - anatomy and morphology, together with the analysis of growth processes (ontogenetics) by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy - but also DNA systematics. This confirmed existing relationships or reveal previously unknown or unconsidered characters.
