Environmental problem-settings are often of a certain complexity because the relationships between different sectors, and therefore stakeholders, have to be considered adequately to achieve sustainable solutions. However, the inclusion of data from different sectors is necessary to identify dependencies between needs and challenges. Neglecting such...

Without fertilization, the sufficient provision of crops to feed the world population would not be possible. However, fertilization in agriculture also causes negative impacts. On the one hand, this concerns the environment e.g., by infusion of nitrate into the soil and groundwater. It is a challenge to guarantee both, a sufficient fertilization of...

A typical characteristic of spatial problem-solving is the multi-disciplinarity, i.e. different actors from various sectors have to be involved in decision making processes. To satisfy as many actors as possible it is necessary, to consider all relevant fields, and contexts. This can be a problem due to the complexity of a project, especially if th...

Semantic interoperability in GIS is the ability to share geospatial information at the application level. This paper argues that we currently have a relatively clear understanding of what semantic heterogeneity means, what are real world cases that exemplify this heterogeneity, and who to characterize these differences. We believe that the stage is...

Question
To add new research I want to add more authors to a publication. However, I get a list with many names but not necessarily authors that are findable in this list. How can I add these "new" authors to my research?
Question
Context information, in its different forms, plays a crucial role for mobile applications. However, it can be worthwhile to integrate context-information in other kinds of information systems as well. It depends obviously on the type of context, if its consideration leads to an improvement of the system or application, as well as its output. This research field is not new, but it is seems to raise new significance due to the increasing need of all kinds of applications to include current and complete information in dependence of the varying situations in which users can be.
