Introduction
I am interested in how the rubber trees face with the adverse environmental conditions and develop breeding techniques. I analyzed the key regulatory processes of rubber tree growth, resistance, and yield, cloned functional genes, and developed molecular markers. High quality genome was assembled so that genome selection breeding approach is developed.

In the present study, we compared the transcriptome profiles of H2O2 treated dark grown Arabidopsis with those grown under the normal light. In total, 2050 and 8540 genes showed altered expression under H2O2 and light treatment respectively, in which 1595 were co-regulated by both H2O2 and light. Among the 1595 genes, 1027 were up-regulated and 486...

The rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) is a tropical, perennial, woody plant that is susceptible to cold stress. In China, cold stress has been found to severely damage rubber plants in plantations in past decades. Although several Hevea clones that are resistant to cold have been developed, their cold hardiness mechanism has yet to be elucidated. Fo...

Rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis) are susceptible to low temperature and therefore are only planted in the tropical regions. In the past few decades, although rubber trees have been successfully planted in the northern margin of tropical area in China, they suffered from cold injury during the winter. To understand the physiological response under...

The biosynthesis of isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP) and dimethylallyl diphosphate (DMAPP), which are essential for sesquiterpenes and triterpenes, respectively, is primarily governed by the mevalonate pathway, wherein farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase (FPS) plays a pivotal role. This study identified eight members of the FPS gene family in Euphorbia hi...

The rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) is grown in tropical regions and is the major source of natural rubber. Using traditional breeding approaches, the latex yield has increased by six‐fold in last century. However, the underlying genetic basis of rubber yield improvement is largely unknown. Here we present a high‐quality, chromosome‐level genome s...

Ultrahigh-density genetic mapping is used extensively for gene discovery, mapping quantitative trait loci (QTL), and assisting in crop breeding. However, genetic mapping of rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis) has hitherto been limited in terms of both types and resolution. In this study, 214 F1 progenies derived from a cross of IAN 873 × REYAN 106 we...

Small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) are a class of conserved nuclear RNAs that play important roles in the modification of ribosomal RNAs (rRNAs) in plants. In rubber trees, rRNAs are run off with latex flow during tapping and need to be regenerated for maintaining the functions of the laticifer cells. SnoRNAs are expected to play essential roles in the...

Abiotic stress severely affects the natural rubber yield in China, so it is necessary to clarify the resistant mechanism of rubber tree to improve natural rubber yield. In previous studies, we found that a MAPPKKK was induced by low temperature in rubber tree. Sequence alignment showed that HbMAPKKK is homologous with MAPKKK15 from Arabidopsis. How...
