Time series analyses of pigment concentrations are key to understanding past aquatic ecosystem dynamics. As lake sediments provide a window into longer‐term changes, innovative paleolimnological chlorophyll quantification could provide impactful insights into past environmental processes. Lab‐based hyperspectral imaging of sediment cores is an emer...
Covering 55% of Canada’s total surface area and stretching from coast to coast to coast, the Canadian boreal zone is crucial to the nation’s economic and ecological integrity. Although often viewed as relatively underdeveloped, it is vulnerable to numerous stressors such as mining, forestry, and anthropogenic climate change. Natural archives preser...
The particle size of lake sediments integrates important environmental information, and the detection of changes in this variable over time provides important information for understanding ecosystem and sedimentary processes. Although standard machine learning regression algorithms especially random forest (RF) have shown great potential for partic...
Lake sedimentation rate represents a synthetic metric of ecosystem functioning. Many localized studies have reported a significant association between land use/land cover changes and lake sediment mass accumulation rates, with a few global syntheses echoing these findings at larger scales. In the literature, studies evaluating lead‐210 (210Pb) for...
Since the rise of deep learning in the past few years, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have quickly found their place within the remote sensing (RS) community. As a result, they have transitioned away from other machine learning techniques, achieving unprecedented improvements in many specific RS applications. This paper presents a meta-analys...
Hyperspectral imaging has recently emerged in the geosciences as a technology that provides rapid, accurate, and high-resolution information from lake sediment cores. Here we introduce a new methodology to infer particle size distribution, an insightful proxy that tracks past changes in aquatic ecosystems and their catchments, from laboratory hyper...
Relative radiometric normalization is often required in time series analysis of satellite Earth observations such as land cover change detection. Normalization process reduces the radiometric differences caused by changes in the environmental conditions during the acquisition of multitemporal satellite images. In this paper, we proposed an efficien...
This paper presents a novel method for reliable and efficient spatial-spectral classification of hyperspectral data. This algorithm is based on the Bayesian labelling by combining the results of the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) with spatial-contextual information extracted by Markov random fields (MRF). Moreover, a new fuzzy segmentation-based func...
In-scene atmospheric correction (ISAC) is a procedure that accounts for atmospheric effects by direct use of the hyperspectral radiance data without recourse to ancillary meteorological data. This letter aims to improve the accuracy of the ISAC algorithm. In the ISAC method after calculating brightness temperature, the computed radiance and measure...
Due to the extent of mineral deposits, identification and proper management of resources is very important. According to the advent of remote sensing and specially producing hyperspectral remote sensing data which can get abundant spectral information, using this data for detailed study is rapidly expanding. Launch of the EO-1 in November 2000 intr...

Hello,
There are a lot of spectral libraries like ECOSTRESS, ASTER, JHU, JPL, and USGS that are freely and easily accessible.
Recently I am working on spectral analysis of some materials especially pigments, but I could not find any spectral library related to the pigments (e.g. chlorophyll a, b, Pheophytin). does anybody know how can I get access(download) to pigments' spectra?
and, is there any complete database for spectral libraries?
Thanks in advance.
I am looking for the implementation of Multi Resolution segmentation algorithm (like the one ecognition software is employing) in Python programming language for hyperspectral images. Thanks in advance for your information.
