Introduction
I am a Senior Lecturer in Accountancy at the Department of Accounting and Finance, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. I am teaching Financial Accounting, Accounting Theory and Standards,Public Accounting and Finance, Commercial Law and Corporate Law. My research interests include accounting regulations, IFRS, distress prediction and capital market.

Question
The management discussions in annual reports of companies often contain information about future prospects of business. Such information are reported as accounting estimates, events or conditions etc. to occur mostly in favor of reporting entity. The degree of disclosures and categories of forward-looking information being reported significantly vary between firms which I believe may be characterized by inter alia some underlying conceptions that managers have on the relationship between forward-looking disclosures and firms value.

Please share your thoughts about this question. There are IFRS studies that suggest that IFRS are very much beneficial to developing economies. In contrast, it is argued that IFRS are developed and amended mainly to suit to the developments in major/developed economies.

Testing the fixed effect model when we have few number of cross sections is convenient where we introduce dummy variable for each cross section. How can we manage this when we have large number cross sections? Please share with me the related sources.
