Question
Hi everyone, I am about to start a new project. I want to monitor physical activity, sedentary and sleep time of university students with an accelerometer. Which accelerometer would be the best for time-based measurement and why would you recommend the product?
Thanks
Question
Is it possible to conduct SEM with dichotomous outcome in latest versions of AMOS or LISREL?
Question
I am interested in associations between social capital indicators and physical activity. We conducted multiple imputation analyzes for missing data. Articles indicate that pooling results are appropriate to report, however there is no pooled results for significance of model in regression analyzes? therefor, should i go on with 5th step imputation?
Thanks in advance

The physical activity participation rates are much lower for adolescents, especially for girls, and the health-related behaviors in this age group shape the future health actions in adult life. Because of this trend, the need to develop feasible, cost-effective, and individual-based physical activity intervention has become important subject research. The alarmingly low rates of physical activity of female adolescents may have indirect implications for both public health and the economy in Turkey. The theory of planned behavior explains the formation and continuity of behavior by considering the personal attitude, the norms formed by the social environment, and the perception of control over behavior constitutes the theoretical basis of this. This project aims to develop and test school-based physical activity interventions based on the theory of planned behavior for adolescent girls. This research aims to create an effective intervention and policy with sequential phases. These phases include (I) open-ended questions and semi-structured interviews for adolescent girls to explain what factors are important for physical activity behavior, (II) the process of developing a measurement tool, (III) the survey study, which aims to explicate the predictive power of factors in association with the physical activity participation of large samples, lastly (IV) physical activity intervention plan is going to be developed according to results of previous phases. Researchers are going to examine the effects of those culture-dependent physical activity intervention plans on daily physical activity and sedentary times, and salient beliefs on physical activity. The methodological procedures for each phase are going to be varied according to the research design and aims of each phase. The methodological approach in the last phase includes the accelerometer measurement which is going to be a significant development for physical activity national literature in Turkey to improve the quality of studies. Project management procedure was also designed to recruit and develop new researchers, in the field of physical activity studies, as a scholarship holder in this project. Accordingly, scholarship holders in bachelor’s degrees are planned to continue to work in this project if they enroll in the master's degree education, while new bachelor scholarship holders recruit for their spots. This project allows scholarship holders to learn in research activities as well as informal learnings by implementing physical activity intervention plan in the guidance of researchers of the project. Accordingly, the project team is constituted of researchers from various scientific fields and different cultures to support this developing environment. Because there is no previous study focused on research and development for effective physical activity intervention plans in Turkey, this proposal is important to contribute to health policies in Turkey by providing critical information to Ministries of Health, Education, and Family and Social Policies as well as to international literature. An effective and feasible policy to promote physical activity among female adolescents may prevent many non-communicable diseases caused by a lack of physical activity. Moreover, the improved health status is going to contribute to health expenditures. These impacts of the study are the biggest contribution to public health and the country's economies. The most important outcomes of the project would be the standardized guide for developing physical activity intervention in schools and the example intervention plan. The development of a school-based physical activity intervention plan will provide a useful and inexpensive structure with feasibility to implement in-country context. The planned behavior theory pre-studies also have the potential to provide knowledge of health-related social norms, attitudes, and behavior control on physical activity in Turkish culture. Theoretical and methodological approaches that are going to be used in this study also provide potential partnership opportunities for the future with international collaborations.

We aimed to test the effectiveness of functional balance training on both balance ability and technical parameters of adolescent soccer players. Static and dynamic balance ability was measured for dominant, non-dominant and both legs before and after the intervention. As a technical parameter, ball velocities during the shooting were recorded by a radar gun.
