Introduction
Graham Werstiuk is an Instructor in Respiratory Therapy since 2012. With a teaching focus of Evidence based practice, critical care and cardiovascular physiology.
Graham has also worked at the University of Alberta Hospital since 2006. Here he has worked primarily in adult critical care. Along the way he has worked briefly with the department of Pulmonary Medicine as a Study Coordinator and did medical flight transport for 2 years.

Background
No direct and thorough accounting of costs related to packed red blood cells (PRBCs) has occurred in recent Canadian history. Our study sought to determine the cost accrued for a unit of PRBC within a Canadian hospital related to the inventory management, storage, testing, issuing and administration of the product.
