Introduction
My drive stems from an insatiable interest in the field of civil engineering. I have always been fascinated by the complex interactions between materials, design, and safety in our built world. It can be advantageous for society as a whole to improve construction methods, materials, and general safety by having a better understanding of how structures survive different forces and circumstances.

Corrosion of mild steel in acidic environments poses significant challenges in various industries, leading to material failure and economic losses. This study investigates the corrosion inhibiting efficiency of Gmelina arborea leaf extract on mild steel in an acidic environment over varying immersion periods. The research measured the corrosion rat...
Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) is an innovative material that has the ability to address demands in a number of industries, including mining, automotive, and aerospace. Stir casting is a well-known technique for making MMC. With weight fractions of 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%, this study aims to analyze the impact of fly ash addition on the physical prope...
This project investigated the effect of changing the cement grade on the properties of vibrated concrete. Various tests were conducted on the constituent materials: Dangote Portland cement of two grades (32.5N and 42.5R), rivers and crushed granite stones. Concrete was prepared to 1:2:4 non-vibrated concrete and 1:11/2:3 ratios for both vibrated an...
The properties of concrete using crushed coconut shells as crushed coconut shells replaced coarse aggregate at different percentage rates of 0, 50 and 100%, which was cured at 3, 7 and 28 days. The concrete tests were carried out on workability, compressive strength, split tensile strength, sieve analysis, specific gravity and water absorption of t...
This paper investigates integrating and comparing digital technology in the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry on the world's six continents, concentrating on the adoption of designs, points of interest, and suggestions for AEC instruction. The study draws insights from current research and industry reports to underline the...
Because of its quality, which allows for veracities, Today, concrete is the most frequently utilized civil engineering material. Concrete has a low tensile strength and a high compressive strength. Even though Nigeria is Africa's giant, it has been discovered that its local contractor does not have a well-used standard mix procedure. Local Nigerian...
The integration of cutting-edge remote sensing technologies, biophysical principles, and advanced spatial statistics enables innovative landscape analysis across various spatial and temporal scales. Traditional approaches relied on classification methods and indices derived from multi-spectral imagery to assess landscape degradation. However, moder...
Backward evaluation of the PZT volume fraction in PZT-silicone resin composite was achieved based on the failure strain and Young modulus of the composite, using a derived empirical model; ɤ = φlnEc-nξc + N. Validity of the derived model anchored on the core model structure; ɤ + nξc ≈ φlnEc + N, considering that both sides of the structure are corr...
With the rapid urbanization process and rapid economic growth, the building industry has emerged as one of the largest carbon emitters in the world. The built environment is thought to play an important part in a country's carbon emissions. Operational carbon emissions, also known as operational period emissions from the built environment, include...
Cracks are a regular occurrence in structures, and they commonly manifest flaws over time or as a result of the building's construction. There are various reasons for cracks in concrete structures. They may reveal the full amount of the injury or more serious issues. They could indicate serious structural deterioration, a lack of durability, or sim...
The scientific research technique was used in this project's research design. This study looked at the physical, chemical, and microbiological aspects of sachet water produced by multiple companies in Aviele, Edo State, Nigeria. The results were compared to the WHO water quality guideline to see if they were portable and safe to consume. As a resul...
