Introduction
During my PhD I studied methods to numerically compute tori and their invariant manifolds in some dynamical systems and applied these tools to the Planar Elliptic Restricted Three-Body Problem (PERTBP) when modelling the dynamics of comet 39P/Oterma. Now in my PostDoc I plan to apply these tools in the computation of diffusion in the PERTBP.

Description
- I had a three-year grant of Spanish Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness, selected and distributed by Barcelona Graduate School of Mathematics, to do my PhD thesis under the supervision of Dr. Àngel Jorba. I had also some volunteer didactic tasks in the department, from Introduction to Differential Calculus to Numerical Methods and Computer Graphics.

Comet 39P/Oterma is known to make fast transitions from an heliocentric orbit outside the orbit of Jupiter to an heliocentric orbit inside that of Jupiter and vice versa. In this note the dynamics of Oterma is quantitatively studied via an explicit computation of high order Birkhoff normal forms at the points L 1 and L 2 of the Planar Restricted Th...
This work aims the study of the Rapid Transition Mechanism that explains some properties of orbits of some spatial objects, as for instance, comet 39P/Oterma, which will be the main object of this research.
Considering Sun and Jupiter are the masses that more influence the considered object, this mechanism describes a transition which makes the ob...
The formulation of the dynamics of N-bodies on the surface of an infinite cylinder is considered. We have chosen such a surface to be able to study the impact of the surface’s topology in the particle’s dynamics. For this purpose we need to make a choice of how to generalize the notion of gravitational potential on a general manifold. Following Boa...
This work aims to better understand the two-body dynamics seen as point-
masses on the surface of a cylinder.
Tools from the field of vortex dynamics are used, because these areas - vortex
and mass dynamics - have a common point of view. Actually, one could add
to this list of dynamics, the dynamics of pointcharges.
The equations of the mass dynami...
