Introduction
My research focuses on the interplay between floods, droughts and human societies to unravel risks and opportunities generated by socio-hydrological feedbacks.
I am a professor of hydrology at the Department of Earth Sciences, Uppsala University, and the director of CNDS, Centre of Natural Hazards & Disaster Science (www.cnds.se). I currently lead the ERC-granted project HydroSocialExtremes (www.hydrosocialextremes.org).
