Introduction
George Gunn is an Associate Researcher at the University of the Highlands and Islands with a focus on climate change and the environment. His research interests include urban weather and climate, climate change in planning policy, and applications of GIS. He is a strong advocate for using research to inform policy decisions. His groundbreaking research on the urban heat island effect in Inverness was one of few similar studies globally and was welcomed by the Highland Council.
