Introduction
My current research is on the ethical and political issues in earthquake/tsunami risk management. My studies focus on the Pacific Northwest US & Canada, which face about a 1 in 3 chance of a major earthquake (M8.0 or 9.0) and tsunami within the next 50 years. I have general interests in social & political philosophy, political theory, applied ethics and disaster risk reduction. I'm open to interdisciplinary collaboration on the governance of risk and disasters.
