The present study comprises illustrations and characteristics of 6 Hungarian species of the Swammerdamia species group. A total of 6 species are diagnosed in detail and figures of the moths, male and female genitalia are given. Information is added to the life history and distribution of the species.
Blown sands are natural pecularities of Slovakia. Present data about eolic sands document the features of the primary geological substratum as well as soil types, plant and animal communities in these special natural sites. Similarly as in Slovakia these habitats are endangered in the whole Pannonian region, so they require European protection.
