In this study, the kinetic degradation of several typical organic pollutants was performed on a synthetic electrode (Ti/SnO2–Sb/Co-βPbO2). The surface structure and the electrochemical properties of the prepared electrode were investigated, confirming the successful preparation of the electrode using an electrochemical deposition method. The outer...

The boron-doped diamond electrode has been widely applied in electrochemical process for wastewater treatment based on the generation of hydroxyl radicals (•OH). This study investigated the formation efficiency of 2-HTA through the interaction between •OH radical and terephthalic acid (TA) to monitor the •OH formation. Results show that the 2-HTA f...

This study investigated the kinetic degradation of methylene blue (MB) by a UV/chlorine process and its combination with other advanced oxidation processes. The ∙OH and reactive chlorine species (RCS: Cl∙, ClO∙, etc.) were the primary reactive species, which accounted for 56.7% and 37.6% of MB degradation at pH 7, respectively. The second-order rat...

The electrochemical oxidation of anthracene on a bare glassy carbon electrode results in electrode fouling and reduced sensitivity in its detection. Multi-walled carbon nanotubes were used to modify a glassy carbon electrode for the electrochemical detection of anthracene because of their antifouling and peak enhancement properties. The peak curren...

Question
In plotting Zimag vs Zreal for my EIS data, the semi-circle is appearing at negative Zreal values and this is making it hard to fit the results to obtain Rs, Rct and other parameters that should be obtainable from such data. Has anyone ever encountered such, or is it a common problem? How does one go about solving it, or is there something one should change in the impedance measurement?
Question
I am using Nafion to modify an electrode and there is reduction in conductivity observed. Is it a common observation? Because it is unlike other reports. If it is a common observation and can be improved, how can it be done?
