About

The focus of the Gallun lab is to better understand and diagnose the impacts of age, hearing loss, and traumatic brain injury on central auditory function. The main areas of study are 1) binaural sensitivity and the ability to benefit from spatial separation of sound sources, 2) temporal processing, and 3) speech understanding. The goal of the work is to develop portable automated rapid tests sensitive to dysfunction throughout the central auditory system.
