Our contribution highlights for the first time the French cleric João Pedro Gay (1815-1891) as a leading figure of Guaraní linguistic research in the nineteenth century. We are basing our analysis on a poem in Guarani copied by his hand from the local newspaper Eco de Corrientes in 1867. This poem is in itself a still unknown valuable source for XI...

Question
I am collecting bibliographic references about the documents in Guarani from 1500-1900 in manuscript form, or in some cases if the original manuscript is lost in printed form or in copy. I am grateful for references to new findings, also for new items of the well known Jesuit printing Press in the reducciones or at Cordobá in the 18 th century.
Question
