Introduction
Franz-Joseph Meissner is professor emeritus (Institut für Romanistik, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen). Franz-Joseph does research in Interlinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Acquisition of Romance languages, Romance intercomprehension and lexicography . The CVRP is a six languages comprising database compiled from frequency corpora constructed by computational lexicography. Its inventory counts more than 9550 series sharing lemmas of a same semantic nucleus and a frequency rank of <5000. Target languages are French-Italian-Portuguese-Spanish and English and German as disambiguating languages. The CVRP's inventory feeds the learning app EUROCOMDIDACT TOGO available under Android and Windows. Further information is given at https://www.eurocomdidact.eu. The app can be used for free.
The EuroComDidact materials are situated within the intercomprehension approach. The app is a tool for fostering overall Romance plurilingual reading skills.
The project comprises qualitative as well as quantitative research.The studies involved had been executed in collaboration with several European partners (2006-2015). The project gave birth to several doctoral theses.
