Introduction
Franz-Joseph Meissner is professor emeritus (Institut für Romanistik, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen). Franz-Joseph does research in Interlinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Acquisition of Romance languages, Romance intercomprehension and lexicography . Project
The CVRP is a six languages comprising database compiled from frequency corpora constructed by computational lexicography. Its inventory counts more than 9550 series sharing lemmas of a same semantic nucleus and a frequency rank of <5000. Target languages are French-Italian-Portuguese-Spanish and English and German as disambiguating languages. The CVRP's inventory feeds the learning app EUROCOMDIDACT TOGO available under Android and Windows. Further information is given at https://www.eurocomdidact.eu. The app can be used for free. The EuroComDidact materials are situated within the intercomprehension approach. The app is a tool for fostering overall Romance plurilingual reading skills.
Archived project
The project comprises qualitative as well as quantitative research.The studies involved had been executed in collaboration with several European partners (2006-2015). The project gave birth to several doctoral theses.
