Our lab is primarily interested in the processes that regulate cartilage biology during development, aging and disease (such as osteoarthritis). Since all these processes involve complex interactions with other tissues, we are also branching out to examine bone, synovium etc. We largely use genomic approaches (microarrays, ChIP sequencing, tissue-specific KO mice etc.) to study pathways of interest, such as Rho GTPases, nuclear receptors, the EGFR pathway and certain epigenetic regulators.
