Introduction
My research is currently focused on the characterization of inflammatory signaling systems associated with addiction and stress as cardiovascular risk factors. The high prevalence of comorbid disorders (psychiatric and cardiovascular disorders) complicates the diagnosis and treatments of these patients. Therefore, the final goal is the identification of biomarkers and therapeutic targets based on molecular signals such as chemokines, cytokines and endocannabinoids through translational studies

I performed a 2 way Anova for the analysis of concentrations of a metabolite with two factors but I am not sure about when apply ing a post hoc test... I mean,  Is it necessary to perform it  when you obtain significant effects of factor 1 and/or 2? , only when there is interaction between factors?
