Introduction
I'm currently interested in the colluvial, alluvial and littoral sequences of the Holocene, specially in geoarchaeological records. I work in geomorphology and soil-sediments analysis for the paleogeographic reconstruction of Holocene landscapes (http://orcid.org/0000-0002-9594-0593)

A combined geomorphological, radiocarbon dating, archaeological and historical approach permits a refining of the age of the coastal dune systems related to estuaries in the Gulf of Cádiz. Three dune systems are distinguished in this paper. The oldest one, D1, which accumulated under prevailing WSW winds during the first millennium bc, overlays bot...

Rivers no bedrock courses essentially depends on the variety and temporal scope of the hydro-geomorphological processes registered in the alluvial plains. According by the nature of the flows and their morphosedimentary incidence, rectilinear, meandering, braided, anastomosed channels, etc. may appear, and, over time, also evolve from one to anoth...

The dune fields of the National and Natural Parks of Doñana are considered one of the most outstanding dune fields in Western Europe. They are located at the west margin of the Guadalquivir river estuary. We reflect on the role played by the physical environment in the formation process of Cerro de San Antonio, the northeast sector of the ancient Roman city of Itálica (Santiponce, Seville, Spain). The keys and the phases that led to the configuration of the tell of ancient Italica are identified. It is also determined what type of sedimentary facies...

The wetlands on the quartz sands aeolian sheet make up one of the ecosystems most recognized and important of the Doñana National Park and Doñana Biological Reserve (South Spain). More than 650 temporal small-lakes have been surveyed in the abundant sand depressions of the aeolian sheet, the most are a hydro-geomorphological dune-small-lake system....

Geomorphological studies are crucial for understanding the evolution of relief, and when associated with cartography, they enhance the interpretation and knowledge of environmental dynamics. Hence, historical cartography is essential for the documental rescue of landscapes, which, based on the mapped geoforms, enhances post-discovery studies for th...
