Introduction
I'm currently interested in the colluvial, alluvial and littoral sequences of the Holocene, specially in geoarchaeological records. I work in geomorphology and soil-sediments analysis for the paleogeographic reconstruction of Holocene landscapes (http://orcid.org/0000-0002-9594-0593)

A combined geomorphological, radiocarbon dating, archaeological and historical approach permits a refining of the age of the coastal dune systems related to estuaries in the Gulf of Cádiz. Three dune systems are distinguished in this paper. The oldest one, D1, which accumulated under prevailing WSW winds during the first millennium bc, overlays bot...

Even since before that Italica was founded by the Romans in the third century BC, the settlement maintained a close relationship with morpho-dynamic evolution of the lower Guadalquivir River (SW Andalusia, Spain), specially with the channel lateral displacements. In order to reconstruct the palaeogeographic evolution of alluvial area of Itálica dur...

Rivers no bedrock courses essentially depends on the variety and temporal scope of the hydro-geomorphological processes registered in the alluvial plains. According by the nature of the flows and their morphosedimentary incidence, rectilinear, meandering, braided, anastomosed channels, etc. may appear, which can, over time, evolve from one type to...

The dune fields of the National and Natural Parks of Doñana are considered one of the most outstanding dune fields in Western Europe. They are located at the west margin of the Guadalquivir river estuary. The accumulation of aeolian sands partly blocks the connection between the ample Guadalquivir River estuary and the Gulf of Cádiz in the Atlantic...

We reflect on the role played by the physical environment in the formation process of Cerro de San Antonio, the northeast sector of the ancient Roman city of Itálica (Santiponce, Seville, Spain). The keys and the phases that led to the configuration of the tell of ancient Italica are identified. It is also determined what type of sedimentary facies...
