Small-scale composting for a decentralized management of organic household waste (garden and kitchen). The study inclues operational aspects of composting bins handling (i.e. turning, feeding, kinds of waste and bulking agent, vermicomposting, control of weed seeds germinability, etc. ) investigaded by experimental essays. Agronomic quality as home compost (fertilizer or growing media) was assesed by cultivation trials. Environmental and economic aspects were also adressed.
