Description
- He led a group with a long track record in research on trace elements (TEs) and their effects on human health. Research focused on both essential and toxic elements in food and dealt with the study of bioaccessibility and speciation as crucial factors for understanding biological and toxicological effects of TEs. The assessment of nutrient intake and dietary exposure to chemicals was another major research field. A variety of methodological approaches were used, from TDSs to human biomonitoring.
