Indexing and image retrieval has become an interesting area of research today because of the lack of advanced methodologies for indexing and extracting images and the existence of huge amounts of images available everywhere; especially on the web. The available solutions are able to find similar items having the exact shape but not the same item if...

The aim of this study is to build a transformation model capable to convert a database relational schema into a set of horn clauses predi-cate logic. Today, databases support trillion and trillion of data megabytes. They provide the main data sources for most of the decision-making systems. Now, organizations give more importance towards knowledge...

Recently, the study of intentions as a direct construct to predict behavior has been prevalent. Moreover, many researchers in psychology are increasingly interested in studying intentions to explain planned behaviors...

In the context of Technology Enhanced Learning System (TELS) engineering, one of major issues for teachers is about designing, adapting or simply choosing a platform or a learning system that supports their instructional goals and strategy (proposed in a learning scenario). This paper proposes a model of functionalities dedicated to Project-Based C...

In this paper, a project-based collaborative learning (PBCL) meta-model is proposed. It allows a teacher to build up a PBCL scenario and to implement it in a learning system which is not designed to this learning method. A MDA (model driven architecture) approach is described to elaborate transformation rules between the PBCL metamodel and that of...
