Many search engine giants like Google, Bing, Yahoo tends not to use morphological analysis when indexing. They tend to index the whole word with the use of some semantics. In this paper, improving retrieval from Arabic text is tackled. A number of techniques such as truncating, stemming, and morphological analysers have been introduced into to impr...
This paper describes the process of creating a schema for the conversion of MARC 21 (Machine Readable Catalog) bibliographic record, a cataloging format created by the Library of Congress, to UNIMARC (Universal Machine Readable Catalog) another format created by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions. This paper prese...

CAPTCHA is almost a standard security technology, and has found widespread application in commercial websites. There are two types: labeling and image based CAPTCHAs. To date, almost all CAPTCHA designs are labeling based. Labeling based CAPTCHAs refer to those that make judgment based on whether the question "what is it?" has been correctly answer...
Today very important means of communication is the e-mail that allows people all over the world to communicate, share data, and perform business. Yet there is nothing worse than an inbox full of spam; i.e., information crafted to be delivered to a large number of recipients against their wishes. In this paper, we present a numerous anti-spam method...
Indexing and image retrieval has become an interesting area of research today because of the lack of advanced methodologies for indexing and extracting images and the existence of huge amounts of images available everywhere; especially on the web. The available solutions are able to find similar items having the exact shape but not the same item if...
The aim of this study is to build a transformation model capable to convert a database relational schema into a set of horn clauses predi-cate logic. Today, databases support trillion and trillion of data megabytes. They provide the main data sources for most of the decision-making systems. Now, organizations give more importance towards knowledge...

With the growth of Internet in the recent years, search engine such as Google, Bing and Yahoo are becoming more and more important. The role of the search engines is to index billions of web pages and display only the most relevant results for a given search query. When creating the website, many webmasters forget to take into consideration an esse...
In 1991 Icek Ajzen has demonstrated that the behavior of every human being is subject to his intentions toward any specific behavior. Recently, the study of intentions as a direct construct to predict behavior has been prevalent. Moreover, many researchers in psychology are increasingly interested in studying intentions to explain planned behaviors...
For the research domain we study, Technology Enhanced Learning Systems (TELS), these systems do not consider pedagogical and computer science aspects be unrelated. One of the teachers' major objectives is to define the way of designing, adapting or choosing the accurate platform to support the pedagogy they need to implement. Therefore our work aim...
In the context of Technology Enhanced Learning System (TELS) engineering, one of major issues for
teachers is about designing, adapting or simply choosing a platform or a learning system that supports their
instructional goals and strategy (proposed in a learning scenario). This paper proposes a model of functionalities
dedicated to Project-Based C...
In this paper, a project-based collaborative learning (PBCL) meta-model is proposed. It allows a teacher to build up a PBCL scenario and to implement it in a learning system which is not designed to this learning method. A MDA (model driven architecture) approach is described to elaborate transformation rules between the PBCL metamodel and that of...
