Question
Hello, I have a sample of 455 adolescents with multiple informants. The father and mother answered a questionnaire about the quality of the relationship they have with the adolescent who participates in the study and the adolescent answered a questionnaire about the quality of the relationship he establishes with each of the parents and about his personal agency.
Can I use the multitrait-multiméthod (MTMM) to analyze this data? The traits would be 4 dimensions (quality of the mother-child relationship, mother-child inhibition, quality of the father-child relationship and father-child inhibition) and the methods (mother report and father report). I would use the teenager's report with the reference report.
Question
I have 4 factors to measure a latent second order variable. Three factors have a likert-type response scale and one has a dichotomous response scale. I have converted all items into Z score notes to express all variables on the same scale. Can I convert a dichotomous variable into a Z score?
