Federico Barrero (IEEE M’04–SM’05) received the MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Seville, Spain, in 1992 and 1998, respectively. In 1992, he joined the Electronic Engineering Department at the University of Seville, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His recent interests include sensor networks and control of multiphase AC drives.
