Global climate change has increased salinity, challenging seed establishment, and agricultural production. To ensure food security, cultivating resilient plants like Sunn hemp (Crotalaria juncea) is crucial. We studied the impact of salinity on Sunn hemp germination at stress levels of 0, -0.4, -0.8, and -1.2 MPa using sodium chloride. Results indi...

Introduction: One of the environmentally friendly weed control methods in cropping systems is using cover crops. Cover crops can reduce or control weeds through different mechanisms such as physical suppression (suffocation of weeds), ecological suppression (competition for limited resources of nutrients, water, and light), and chemical suppression...
1. Introduction: Spinach (Spinacia Oleracea L.) belongs to Chenopodiaceae and is one of the most important leafy vegetables in the world. Spinach is a valuable human food source because its leaves are rich in minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and phenolic compounds. Weeds are one of the significant challenges for spinach production. They can lead t...

By identifying the factors that initiate seed dormancy release, we can reliably predict whether a seed will remain dormant within or exit the seed bank and become a seedling. With regard to annual weed species, assessing which factors efficiently break seed dormancy is critical for estimating the number of weed seeds that will develop into problema...

Soil plays a pivotal role in agricultural production, and its significance in ensuring the production of wholesome agricultural products cannot be overstated. However, with the burgeoning global population and limited arable land, the utilization of chemical fertilizers, fossil fuels, and continuous tillage has become widespread in order to enhance...
Weeds are a significant issue in agricultural production, and their control often relies on the use of chemical inputs, which can have adverse environmental effects. To reduce the use of chemical inputs, targeted use of natural resources, such as biological herbicides, is a promising approach. Many studies have focused on identifying, isolating, an...
Salinity stress poses a significant challenge to agricultural production in Iran. To overcome this, numerous methods have been suggested to enhance plant tolerance to salinity stress and improve agricultural yield. Nanotechnology has emerged as a promising approach in agriculture. In particular, titanium nanoparticles have been extensively studied...
A simplified Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model for strawberry disease classification is proposed in this paper. The model is trained and evaluated on a dataset of 2500 strawberry images with seven different types of diseases. The results show that the model can achieve an accuracy of 0.98 on the training and 0.97 on the validation sets. The...
One of the most important agricultural wastes is the remains of crops and fodder left on the soil surface. Positive control of weeds by plant residues has been mentioned in many reviews.
