Introduction
Faruk Sarkinfada, a laboratory systems and quality assurance expert has twenty-four years of teaching, research, administrative and personnel management experience. He is a Professor of Medical Microbiology with an in-depth knowledge of laboratory and health care systems as well as the policies and regulations governing laboratory systems and operations in Law and Middle Income Countries. He is the Team Lead of the Fleming Fund Country Grant for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Surveillance in Nigeria and has served as the national laboratory consultant to the Nigeria’s Tuberculosis and Malaria control programs. He participated in the development of Nigeria’s National Medical Laboratory Strategic Plan and has worked with the Health Sc Dept of Khawarizmi International College, Abu Dhabi UAE.
