Hi everyone my work is on terpene synthase genes and am interested to find out their function in short time. Does anyone knows the easy and fastest way to find out the heterologous expression of TPSs in Escherichia coli. as am facing difficulty in getting protein of my TPS genes. the method am following is using PET30a vector and transfering to escheria coli then culture for 20h followed by adding IPTG then sonification to attain protein. after that do centrifugation. 
to find out the suitable concentration of IPTG took long time. i will be thankful if someone let me know about the fastest and short way to get ride of this problem

Hedychium coronarium (white ginger lily) is a renowned ornamental plant both in tropical and subtropical regions due to its flower shape and strong floral scent mainly composed of terpenes and benzenoids. Terpene synthases (TPS) and benzoic/salicylic acid methyltransferase gene (BSMT) are the key enzymes that are regulated by various kinds of transcription factors (TFs) to produce floral scent. Herein, we want o revealed the Key transcription factors and terpene synthase genes involved in the pathway of floral scent formation and its crosstalk with other hormone signal pathways involved in the biosynthesis and volatilization mechanism.
