在多元文化交融的今天,因应中国文化“走出去”战略需求,探讨英语教材融入本土文化具有重要的现实意义。本研究首先对《大学思辨英语教程口语1:文化之桥》的本土文化呈现方式进行分析;然后采用访谈的方法,探讨在校大学生对英语教材融入本土文化的认知。研究结果表明:该教材的每个单元都或多或少涉及本土文化,但内容类别选择和分布不均衡;访谈对象对英语教材融入本土文化持积极态度,但认为自身用英语表达本土文化的能力还不够强,他们普遍表达了基于文化融合视角进一步完善英语教材建设的希望。结合文本分析和访谈的结果,本研究从增加中国地方特色文化元素、融入本土化的语言表达方式,以及添加与本土文化相关的写作任务和多媒体学习资源入手,对英语教材如何充分、有效地呈现本土文化提出几点建议。

本研究以多模态教学为基础,通过对高中英语教师的课堂实例进行观摩分析以及访谈,探讨了高中英语教师对视频资源的应用情况与教学态度,为英语教师运用视频资源提供教学指导。研究表明,高中英语课堂中使用视频资源的课型以阅读课和写作课为主,且在课前、课中和课后这三个教学环节均有使用。受访教师对视频资源应用于课堂教学持积极态度,认为视频资源在课堂教学中的应用对学生的英语学习以及教师的授课具有促进作用。本研究指出视频资源融入高中英语课堂教学的有效性和必要性,并对高中英语教师在应用视频资源方面提出了启示。

英语作为一门全球通用语,已被广泛传播与使用。与此同时,英语在世界范围内形成了不同的变体,英语使用也不再仅以英语母语者为唯一标杆。但是,现阶段英语教学仍然基于较为传统的英语作为外语的教学模式。基于英语通用语理论,本文比较了英语通用语框架和英语作为外语框架的区别,并讨论了前者应用于大学英语教学中的挑战。最后,根据”后方法“理论提出基于英语通用语的教学模式。
