Coronavirus is a family of viruses that can cause diseases such as the common cold, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS). The universal outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by SARS coronaviruses 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has become a global pandemic. The β-Coronaviruses, which caused SARS-CoV-...
The present study is aimed at enhancing the solubility of rosuvastatin (RST) by designing betacyclodextrin/polyvinypyrrolidone-co-poly (2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulphonic acid) crosslinked hydrophilic nanogels in the presence of crosslinker methylene bisacrylamide through free-radical polymerization method. Various formulations were fabricated...
Natural biodegradable polymers generally include polysaccharides (starch, alginate, chitin/chitosan, hyaluronic acid derivatives, etc.) and proteins (collagen, gelatin, fibrin, etc.). In transdermal drug delivery systems (TDDS), these polymers play a vital role in controlling the device's drug release. It is possible that natural polymers can be us...
Poly(lactic‐co‐glycolic acid) (PLGA) nanoparticles (NPs) are commonly used for drug delivery because of their favored biocompatibility and suitability for sustained and controlled drug release. To prolong NP circulation time, enable target‐specific drug delivery and overcome physiological barriers, NPs camouflaged in cell membranes have been develo...
Background: The development of digital technologies and the evolution of open innovation approaches have enabled the creation of diverse virtual organizations and enterprises coordinating their activities primarily online. The open innovation platform titled “International Natural Product Sciences Taskforce” (INPST) was established in 2018, to brin...
This study was aimed to develop polymeric nanoparticles (PNPs) using chitosan (CTN), polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), and Tween 80 for dissolution enhancement of poorly water-soluble antidiabetic drug: glimeperide (GLM).
GLM-loaded PNPs were developed for increasing the dissolution and solubility of GLM by using different amounts of CTN as polymer, PVP...
Background: An ectopic pregnancy occurs outside the uterine cavity and represents a life-threatening health problem for mothers, constituting 1.2-1.4% of all reported pregnancies and causing an increasing proportion of maternal deaths and miscarriage rates.
This research is planned to synthesize and characterize interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) nanogels by combining natural (β-cyclodextrin) and synthetic (Polyvinyl alcohol) polymers by free radical polymerization utilizing N,N methylenebisacrylic acid (MBA) and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid (AMPS). FTIR, DSC, and TGA were employed t...
