Introduction
Lecture Professor and Coordinator of Renewable Energies Master at Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT). Degree as Industrial Engineer (1999) specialized in Energy Techniques and PhD Degree on Thermo-fluid-dynamic Processes in Thermal Engines (2004) by Technical University of Valencia. Founded member of the research group named " Modelling of Thermal and Energy Systems" of UPCT in 2004 , researching and working on modelling and testing in several topics such as: Internal Combustion Engines, two-phase flow, heat exchangers design, evaporation & condensation processes, Efficiency Use of Energy, Thermal & PV Solar Energy, Water Desalinization and others topics related of Thermal Energy among others.

Project
IFE Desirows (LIFE19 ENV/ES/000447) va a desarrollar un nuevo proceso industrial basado en la economía circular que permitirá la reutilización de estas aguas para regar, una vez se alcance la separación selectiva de las sales disueltas y se eliminen los nitratos que contienen. El proyecto LIFE Desirows (LIFE19 ENV/ES/000447) está gestionado por un consorcio liderado por la empresa REGENERA y en el que participan la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), la Comunidad de Regantes de Arco Sur y otras empresas de la Región de Murcia con experiencia en este tipo de proyectos, como es el caso de Hidrogea e Hidrotec. Además, el proyecto financiado por el Programa LIFE de la Unión Europea, también hará que sea posible reutilizar estas sales, que contienen gran cantidad de nutrientes, como fertilizante agrícola, así como para otros usos industriales. Todo el proceso industrial combina varias tecnologías basadas en las energías renovables, en concreto, energía solar fotovoltaica y biomasa. De esta forma, se consigue minimizar el consumo energético necesario de reciclaje y reutilización de la salmuera de los pozos subterráneos.

Lo realizará un consorcio, liderado por Regenera Levante, con la participación de la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, la Comunidad de Regantes Arco Sur Mar Menor, Hidrogea e Hidrotec. La iniciativa comienza este mes y se desarrollará hasta finales de 2023.
