Introduction
See www.reapower.eu which I initiated. The production of electrical energy from the salinity gradient of a highly concentrated salt solution (brine) versus seawater or brackish water by using reverse electrodialysis. VITO suggests a hybrid system which not only allows to produce electrical energy but also simultaneously a considerable amount of extra fresh water (potable, irrigation) while being based on the use of solar energy. Note that I retired in 2014 after a life long researcher's career.
