The metaverse is a next-generation internet that is empowered by emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), digital twins (DT), artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, Web 3.0, and aug-mented/ virtual reality (VR/ AR) to facilitate a dynamic interaction between the physical and virtual worlds [1]. The metaverse presents a virtual...
This paper investigates and compares the performance of various predictive models for energy consumption forecasting in the Gumi Industrial Complex. A 2024 survey highlighted energy efficiency initiatives such as equipment upgrades (19.5\%) and energy monitoring systems (4.3\%), emphasizing the need for accurate and interpretable predictive technol...
This paper introduces DCFL-Chain, a digital twin-enabled collaborative federated learning framework designed topredict energy consumption in smart factories. By integratinga permissioned blockchain, the system ensures decentralized,tamper-resistant aggregation and secure client authentication. The model leverages federated learning to train local mo...
In the era of digital transformation, securing data on metaverse platforms poses significant challenges. This paper proposes Multiparty Space Sharing and Authentication (MSSA), a novel approach for secure user login and location access control within specialized metaverse platforms. MSSA leverages Quantum Multiparty Secret Computation (QMSC) integr...
The growing occurrence of cyber attacks requires advancing more complex encryption methods to protect sensitive communication in marine tactical networks. The study introduces Quantum DNA Partial Permutation (QDPP), a cryptographic scheme that combines quantum cryptography, DNA computing, and permutation-based methods to secure confidential communi...
Maritime borders hold significant importance for a nation's economic and political stability. Ensuring the security of these extensive maritime frontiers is a task of priority importance for naval forces, particularly in managing and mitigating unauthorized entries by foreign vessels into international maritime zones. To simplify and automate this...
The immersive metaverse environment offers distinct social interactions and opportunities, yet it also presents significant challenges in securely managing misbehavior, including hate speech, bullying, and harassment. Existing solutions primarily focus on detecting such behavior through artificial intelligence but lack robust mechanisms for managem...
This study introduces FedQ, a quantum-based security scheme for defending against cyber attacks in the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). By integrating quantum key distribution (QKD) with privacy-preserving federated learning (FL), FedQ ensures secure communication between hospital management units (HMUs) and the FL server. QKD encrypts FL transmi...
The rapid development of quantum hardware puts classical encryption techniques at risk of quantum attacks. Therefore , the development of post-quantum encryption techniques is indispensable. This paper proposes a quantum-enabled encryption technique based on DNA coding called QDPP. Here, information is first encoded as a DNA sequence, and then part...
Over recent decades, rapid technological advancements have significantly transformed living standards and socio-economic conditions. As emerging technologies like the metaverse emerge, substantial computational demands, unbreakable security, and ultra-fast internet connectivity become increasingly necessary. Traditional computing paradigms face lim...
Ensuring security in the metaverse is crucial, especially when considering its association with the military or defense system, where an exceptionally high level of security is imperative. This paper presents quantum superdense coding-based secure authentication (QSCSA) as a high-level security solution for the extremely sensitive military metavers...
This paper proposes a whale optimization algorithm (WOA)‐based partial transmit sequence (PTS) scheme called WOA‐PTS to reduce the high peak‐to‐average power ratio (PAPR) for universal filtered multi‐carrier (UFMC) systems. High PAPR is a prevalent challenge encountered in multi‐carrier systems. In the conventional PTS technique, the optimization o...
Over the last few decades, technology has been improving dramatically and consequently transformed the standard of living and socio-economic conditions. The entire process will revolutionize when the next advanced technologies will be fully functional. Advanced technologies like the metaverse, Web 3.0, and others necessitate high computing power, i...
The worldwide education landscape has transformed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing an opportunity to enhance virtual learning. Nevertheless, this transition has disadvantages, including less face-to-face interaction and the possibility of student seclusion. The metaverse, a digital realm, provides an optimal substitute for conventional virtu...
The Metaverse constitutes a collective virtual world platform that integrates a range of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, web 3.0, blockchain, advanced hardware, and other cutting-edge innovations. In the metaverse, the metahuman is considered a vital part. The demand for concurrent interaction, motion, and emotion generati...
Internet of Things (IoT) devices generate massive amounts of data continuously, making it difficult to combine this data at the edge node or central edge server for AI techniques to be applied, especially on low bandwidth networks. Traditional computation offloading involves extensive resource management, queuing, and high bandwidth usage to send d...
The growing need for wireless communication has resulted in the widespread usage of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in a variety of applications. Designing a routing protocol for UAVs is paramount as well as challenging due to its dynamic attributes. The difficulty stems from features other than mobile ad hoc networks (MANET), such as aerial mobili...
Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier (UFMC) is one of the strongest waveform candidates for the next-generation wireless communication system. In the UFMC system entire band is divided into sub-bands and a filter is applied in each sub-band. This filtering process reduces out-of-band (OoB) radiation as a result decrease inter-carrier interference (ICI)...
Universal filtered multi-carrier (UFMC) is one of the strongest candidates waveforms to overcome the shortness of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and for the future mobile communication system. UFMC system provides robust, high spectral efficiency and minimal out-of-band(OOB) emission communication system. However, UFMC system has...
In the context of factory rescue system, for instance in case of fire, earthquake or any other emergency situations, immediate rescue is first priority for saving life and resource. There are innumerable issues come up in this situation, like poor signaling, obstacle in entry or evacuation path, lack of knowledge about building architecture etc. Glo...
Naval combat system (NCS) is a distributed system integrated with various subsystems which works together. NCS needs to establish real-time communication with its internal segments as well as with the shore, sea, underwater and air in harsh environment. Therefore maintaining reliability in communication is really a big challenge. This paper propose...
