This study examines the impact of the number of equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) passes on the tribological properties of A390 aluminum alloy. Specifically, the investigation focuses on how microstructural features, including the roundness and size of second-phase particles, the volume fraction and distribution of intermetallic compounds, the...
Article
The current study investigated the effect of prior solution treatment and subsequent Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) on the microstructure and texture evolution of an Al–18 pct Si–4.2 pct Cu alloy. Microstructural analysis revealed that the solution treatment influenced the fragmentation and spheroidization of small particles, thereby limitin...

The knowledge of stopper damage behavior under working conditions is highly needed for a better designing them with better properties. Dynamic impact and compression, thermal shock, corrosion, erosion and wear are the main factors affected on the performance of alumina-graphite refractories when they are used as stoppers. This study investigates th...

Advantages of shot blasting machine is the blasting of parts with complex shapes and products having high area to volume. Three important properties of alloys, used as wire mesh, are hardness, high wear resistance, and also proper impact toughness under dynamic loads. Mn steel alloys are the most attractive steel alloys which have possessed the abo...

In order to achieve desired quality of a product by machining, cutting parameters and effective factors should be selected properly. In this research, by utilizing Taguchi method, the optimization of deep drilling process was investigated on AISI-H13, AISI-D3 and Hardened-AISI-1045 workpieces by different tools (HSS, Titanium Coated and Cobalt Coat...
Article
The precipitation behavior during equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) performed at 400°C in an Al-Si-Cu alloy has been investigated. Meanwhile, grain refinement and tensile properties of solution-treated A390 Al alloy have been studied under various ECAPed passes. Microstructural results showed that during the solution treatment, the high volume...
Article
Al-18%Si-4.5%Cu alloy was processed by route BC equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) at a temperature of 400 °C. Electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) was used to analyze the microstructure and microtexture during the ECAP process. The microstructural results showed three important effects: First, the particle-stimulated nucleation (PSN) and c...

In this study, the microstructure, tensile properties, and the fracture behavior of hypereutectic A390 aluminum alloy produced by route BC of equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) were investigated. Microstructural observations showed that the microstructure of the A390 alloy was considerably improved by the ECAP. After the fourth pass, most of the...
Article
In this study, route Bc of the equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) method has been successfully applied to the Al–Si–Cu alloy at 400 °C. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) were used to analyze the microstructure. Texture evolution was studied by the X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique. The microstructural...
Article
Microstructure and texture of an Al–Si–Cu alloy subjected to high-temperature equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) were evaluated by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). Besides, the inhomogeneity of the ECAP process was investigated in three different zones of ECAPed specimens (i.e., top, center, and bottom). The texture evaluation showed tha...
Article
The dynamic mechanical responses of as-cast and ECAPed hypereutectic Al-Si alloy subjected to high strain rate compression by split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) system were investigated. The result shows that the dynamic yield strength of the investigated alloy first decreases with the first ECAP pass, followed by an increase in strength with furt...
Article
The purpose of the present research is to determine the tensile strength and elongation of the A390 alloy processed by ECAP and to reveal the relationship between the microstructure and tensile properties. Optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) were used for microstructural analysis of t...
Article
The current work focused on the effect of equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) process on microstructure and texture evolution of A390 aluminum alloy. The alloy successfully processed up to four ECAP passes in route A at 400 °C. The ECAP die, has a circular cross-section channel with a diameter of 12 mm, an inner corner angle, φ, of 110° and an ou...

Question
During the last two years, I have been familiar with the coaching and also, how a coach could help us to better knowing ourselves and environment and having a better relationship with our family, friends and also other people.
I think to living a best personal life we require intentional self-thinking. It is noteworthy to say that we have blind spots that we cannot see them. These blind spots hinder our growth in this way that they prevent us from seeing the whole picture of our lives and the thoughts, habits and behaviors.
What should we do in this situation?
Do we need a life-coach?
How a life-coach can help us to improve our self-knowing abilities?
Question
Is there any practical method to decrease the amount of Ti from molten cast iron?
Does anyone know about that?
Question
I would like to know, is there any alternative materials (except Mn Steel) to using as wire mesh for shot blasting machine?
I know about the suitable properties of Mn Steel and also, I understand that this material is the best items for the current position. However, I'm thinking a while, to finding an alternative material instead of Mn Steel.
could you please let me have your any comments about that.
I look forward to hearing from you.
