In this paper, a highly efficient, low-cost scheme for two-dimensional microwave imaging is proposed. To this end, the AZIM (anisotropic zero index metamaterial) cells loaded Vivaldi antenna is designed and tested as effective EM radiation beam source required in the microwave imaging scheme. The designed antenna is first individually tested in the...

This paper presents the design, synthesis, and testing of a novel wide band electromagnetic hybrid absorber (HA) for the radar cross section (RCS) reduction of antennas. The proposed HA is based on the design of a metamaterial structure coated with the synthesized dielectric absorber material. The dielectric filler based composite absorber is fabri...

In this letter, a tapered slot ultrawide band (UWB) Vivaldi antenna with enhanced gain having band notch characteristics in the WLAN/WiMAX band is presented. In this framework, a reference tapered slot Vivaldi antenna is first designed for UWB operation that is, 3.1–10.6 GHz using the standard procedure. The band-notch operation at 4.8 GHz is achie...

In this paper, a modified cylindrical Luneberg lens antenna is proposed for the microwave/millimeter wave imaging applications. The proposed Luneberg lens is designed using the Teflon substrate (ε r = 2.1) by making cylindrical voids of different radius along the circumference. The parameters of the designed antenna such as the directivity and the...

The paper highlights the possibility of using Polypyrrole (PPy) for planar microstrip patch antenna (MPA).The MPA has been designed using a conducting polymer PPy and Plexiglas TM laminate with a thickness of 1.8mm. The bulk conductivity of polypyrrole is 1200 and thickness is taken as 90mm.An analogous structure is designed using copper patch vali...

The objective of this paper is to develop a comparative analysis of rectangular and triangular cylindrical microstrip patch antenna. In this study we would like to take into account the problems of resonance and radiation of cylindrical rectangular and triangular microstrip patch antenna. Design procedure involves parameters related to cylindrical...

This paper describes dual-band patch antenna. The dual-band operation is obtained by embedding a pair of Lshaped slots. Dual band antenna can reduce the size of antenna 40%, comparing with rectangular microstrip antennas on normal dielectric substrate, and have wider bandwidths for both bands. In this paper L-shaped slots patch antenna with length...

Question
Basically I want to know more about the synchronization and timing of USRPs. I had gone through many online articles and information available, want to acquire some practical knowledge.
Question
It is basically a method of excitation for planar patch antenna, but I want to know the mechanism or principle behind this technique.
If somebody worked on it, please give me the right suggestions to design the same.
