Ecology, Evolutionary Biology

My main research interests are the causes and consequences of individual movement patterns in natural populations.
Current and upcoming projects:
- the role of innate behaviour versus learning in spatial behaviour of great tits
- matrix use of forest birds and its implications for functional connectivity and population viability
- dispersal, genetic structure and host specialization in bird ticks and implications for transmission of Borrelia
- expansion and impact of invasive birds
