Introduction
I'm currently an M.Sc. student at the RLAI lab, working under the co-supervision of Martha White and Marlos C. Machado. At the moment, I spend most of my time working on characterizing and understanding the generalization capability of representations that are learned by deep reinforcement learning algorithms.

In today's digital world, we are faced with an explosion of data and models produced and manipulated by numerous large-scale cloud-based applications. Under such settings, existing transfer evolutionary optimization (TrEO) frameworks grapple with simultaneously satisfying two important quality attributes, namely: 1) scalability against a growing nu...

In this paper we investigate the properties of representations learned by deep reinforcement learning systems. Much of the earlier work in representation learning for reinforcement learning focused on designing fixed-basis architectures to achieve properties thought to be desirable, such as orthogonality and sparsity. In contrast, the idea behind d...

Male infertility is a disease that affects approximately 7% of men. Sperm morphology analysis (SMA) is one of the main diagnosis methods for this problem. However, manual SMA is an inexact, subjective, non-reproducible, and hard to teach process. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce a novel automatic SMA technique that is based on the neural arch...
Article
Analyzing the abnormality of morphological characteristics of male human sperm has been studied for a long time mainly because it has many implications on the male infertility problem, which accounts for approximately half of the infertility problems in the world. Yet, detecting such abnormalities by embryologists has several downsides. To clarify,...

Nowadays service robots are very useful and become a part of our life. These robots can help us in daily activities in an easy interactive way. In this article we present how a Service Human Robot (SHR) can be programmed to do several tasks in a home-like environment i.e. navigating to a given loca-tion, recognizing, grasping and bringing objects e...
