Anew series of nickel and copper ions were synthesized from the azo ligand derived from 2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid and aniline derivative. All ligands and their complexes have been prepared and characterized by IR, UV-Vis HNMR and CHN analysis . The complexes are investigated as antibacterial agents .
