Emily Sonestedt has a MSc in nutrition from Stockholm University and PhD (2008) in public health and nutritional epidemiology from Lund University. Her current research includes the interaction between genes and dietary factors for obesity, diabetes, dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disease. Her main focus is to clarify the importance of carbohydrate quality, especially sugar, on human health. Emily is also involved in international collaboration on gene-environment interaction analyzes.
