Based on empirical findings on the digital media users, our paper proposes an interpretive framework to understand algorithmic management model and to re-energize the study of the notion of subsumption. We reframe subsumption not as an end-point outcome but as open subsumptive relations, which points to a dialectical perspective on power relations,...

Since its first irruption, the COVID-19 pandemic has produced a great proliferation of discourses around the distancing of social relations and activities: a distancing that appeared for the first time both technically possible and socially desirable. However, this trend towards distancing precedes the pandemic, in forms that reveal, much more than...

We support the interpretative hypothesis that the Covid-19 pandemic involves both a spatial crisis and a spatial solution (Harvey, 2001), which combined create the conditions for a new 'gigification' of work supported by digital platforms, as well as the conditions for its resistance. Accordingly, in this paper we will examine the contradictory pro...

What is the pandemic city? In what elements do we recognize it? The pape...
