Introduction
Eloi Sendrós Ferrer is a PhD candidate in social anthropology at the Universitat de Barcelona, and a member of the research group Antropologia de l’Estat i l’Acció Pública (AEiAP), in the Institut Català d’Antropologia. His work revolves around the relations between the public policy and the economy, and also the transformations of agrarian communities; two topics he is now studying through the analysis of the commodification processes triggered through State-led tourism development.
