Introduction

By using population and landscape genetics and genomics, we aim at better understand the ecology of wildcat species and provide useful information for a better conservation of these endangered taxa.
Project goals are to apply a comparative approach on several vents species with contrasting life-history traits in order to 1) describe the distribution of genetic diversity, to infer past and contemporary connectivity patterns, and, 2) examine possible links between genetic connectivity and species life cycle (reproduction and larval life), geographic barriers, or ecological gradients (depth, chemical signature of vent fluids).
